Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) was evolved from Wuhan, China in December 2019 and declared as a global pandemic by WHO. This SARS-CoV-2 Virus was assigned as novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Approximately more than 150 million population leading to more than 3 lakh deaths were confirmed through this COVID-19 viral infection. This leads to complete lockdown globally which hampers the all major sectors of the economy but it has a blessing to the Pharmaceutical sector.
Some part of pharmaceutical sector was affected such as supply chain from raw materials to manufacturing and delivery. The demand of oxygen supported instruments such as oxygen cylinder, medical ventilators and air purifiers was increased and this forced the producers to boost demand at the global level. In order to meet these demands governments enforced the setup of oxygen producing plant by collaborating with pharmaceutical industry producers and automakers. There is no doubt that this is the first time in modern era the diagnostics oriented industry has been in the absolute limelight. This pandemic brings the development in the field of pharmaceutical and healthcare sector such as research and development, manufacturing and marketing. Government taken the all measuring steps to control and to prevent from this novel coronavirus infection by giving guidelines time to time that is wearing mask, make social distancing and always having sanitizers. The goal of medical fraternity to protect themselves along with other running operation to challenge this pandemic situation.
